Alli Platter is the mom of two adorable little girls, her experience as a Mom has helped to shape and grow her practice as a speech-language pathologist. Alli has 14 years of experience practicing as a speech-language pathologist. Alli provides services in both English and Spanish. Alli’s sessions are extremely enjoyable for children resulting in increased child participation and more significant gains towards achieving the child’s communication goals. Alli is passionate and energetic about empowering all individuals to communicate effectively.

 CLINICAL APPROACH

  • Alli utilizes a trauma informed “whole body” approach to her feeding sessions. She focuses on neurological functioning, to foster neuroplasticity and support the muscles to function properly. This results in clients to achieve safer and more efficient chewing and swallowing skills. Alli provides functional solutions specific to each child and their specific cultural norms surrounding food and eating.

  • Tawnya is skilled in treatment for articulation she implements the treatments based on each individual’s needs and strengths.

  • Tawnya specializes in treating early pre-verbal language delays. She identifies what the child’s passions/interests are. She then uses the child’s interests to foster more functional communication skills.

  • Tawnya has extensive clinical knowledge in the use of sign language to foster verbal language as well as trains for use for no-verbal children as a primary mode of communication.

Peyton Fox is a Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive pediatric experience.  Peyton provides services in English, some Spanish, and often implements sign language for further communication opportunities. Peyton’s sessions are tailored to individual needs and are always exciting for the child. Peyton is enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about achieving optimal communication results for each child.

CLINICAL APPROACH

  •   Peyton has considerable experience treating individuals with autism. She ensures specific needs of each child are directly targeted with each therapy session and uses strategies to decrease frustration by increasing the child’s communication skills. Peyton focuses on building close relationships with the child and his/her family by getting to know individual interests and goals for therapy.

  • Peyton is passionate about serving individuals who are dysfluent. She has significant experience in this area and has had great success with her clients managing their dysfluency.

  • Peyton focuses not only on improving the child’s level of communication, but also on teaching the caregiver strategies to use with the child, outside of therapy. This intervention method allows for quicker results across many settings.

  • Peyton is experienced with treating children through play-therapy in functional environments which allows the child to have fun while improving communication skills.

Ana Polanco Bachman, M.A. ITFS, CBRS is a mother of 2 adorable little boys. She has extensive pediatric experience personally and professionally. Ana has always had a passion to help and a love for children, which led her in to the field of psychology and later on into the world of special needs and developmental delays/disabilities. As an undergraduate student, Ana met her very first teenage friend on the Autism spectrum; the relationship was truly special and opened her eyes into a world she knew little about. This friend became an inspiration to Ana, and taught her more than she could ever thank him for. After school, Ana was fortunate enough to start her professional career as a service coordinator within the Early Intervention Program in Wake County. Ana's work within this State agency provided her with the opportunity to acquire a wealth of knowledge in the world of developmental delays/disabilities. Ana takes pride in having worked with a diverse group of families and being able to guide them in the process of finding the best care and services for their little ones. Ana is known for being a great advocate for the families in her care, and is happy to help empower them to reach their children's potential regardless of their specific needs. 

 Although case management is a big part of her skill set, Ana truly enjoys working one-on-one with young children. Ana is a certified developmental therapist and has worked in both individual and group settings giving her best to all the litte ones she's been lucky to interact with. Ana is described by friends as someone who has never met a stranger and would love the opportunity to develop more enriching and therapeutic relationships with new children and their families.
